Student Life at AICM

Due to the great distances our students live from the mission, it is necessary for them to stay here during the week. We currently have 3 student dorms at AICM; one for girls who are in 6th-10th grade, one for girls Kindergarten-5th grade, and one for all our boys.

Imagine having 25 or more “brothers and sisters” living with you! Literally there is never a dull moment and there is always someone to play with.

Our dorm parents are kept busy taking care of the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of these children God has entrusted to us. The day begins at 6:00 AM getting ready for school and going to breakfast. School starts and 8:00 and the students return to their dorms at 3:20 PM. Time is spent doing homework, chores and having some free time. Dinner is at 5:00 PM. Normally there is time to play in the gym or go outside to ride bikes, skateboard or just “hang out” with friends.

Shower time begins at 7:00 PM followed by nightly devotion time. The little ones go to bed around 8:00 PM and the others follow an hour later. With lights out and hopefully everyone sleeping, the dorm parents are ready for their rest and preparation for another day.
