Prayer vigil for the American Indian
Christian Mission
AICM Administration:
-
For our 10 yr vision; to become a school of 200 students and serve 1000
children during our Summer Enrichment Programs.
-
For more Native American staff to join our ranks.
-
For success in raising 2.9 million dollars for needed staff and
facilities through 1st Nations…Future Leaders capitol
campaign.
-
That God will raise up one of our students to one day become Executive
Director of the American Indian Christian Mission.
-
For protection from satan’s schemes as we penetrate the reservations.
AICM Board of Directors:
-
For insight and wisdom in their leadership and guidance of the ministry.
-
For additional board members; skilled men and women who are committed to
making AICM’s ministry vision become a reality.
-
That they remain vigilant to preserving the “ministry of the word”.
American
Indian
Christian
School:
-
For our 12th grade graduation in May of 2009; that we
graduate students prepared to enter the world as productive young adults
and vibrant Christians.
-
For our efforts to achieve 9th to 12th grade
accreditation (last year we achieved K-8th accreditation
through ACSI. ACSI standards
preclude application for high school accreditation until we have a full
4 yr high school program in place).
-
For additional faculty who are gifted teachers and dedicated child
advocates.
Student Life Ministry (dorms):
-
For the additional dorm parents we need, those with wisdom, passion and
the energy to keep up with active children.
To be the examples Christ expects of all parents.
-
For continued growth in unity among our dorm parents, new and old.
-
For our students to bring the message of Christ home to their families.
-
Continue to develop and challenge our dorm parents to grow in their
skills to better prepare and equip our students to become serving
Christians.
-
To grow in our ability to conform to God’s discipline and hold one
another accountable in Christian love.
-
For continued success in developing our Student Life programs and
protocols. That we effectively
meet the challenges of parenting K-12th aged students.
-
That our students’ lives be shaped and molded by our example and
teachings; that they adopt our values and the character of Christ to
hold up against the darkness and temptations on reservation.
-
To break down the barriers within our students that prevent a full life
in relationship with Christ.
-
That the generational cycle and bondage of alcoholism, drug abuse, gang
violence, physical and sexual abuse be broken.
Apache Christian Connection (blue bus):
-
For God to send us the staff we need.
There are hundreds of children in need and too few of us to cover
the reservation.
-
For the resources to maintain our current bus, and expand the ministry
by sending out a second bus oriented toward high school age kids.
-
For our up coming summer enrichment programs on campus and on
reservation. Last yr we reached
almost 450 children. This summer
we hope to reach over 500.
-
For revival on the reservations, that more children come to know and
accept Christ.
-
For spiritual strength, physical health and stamina to continue in a
demanding labor intensive ministry.
-
For God’s revelations; new ideas and innovative ways to reach Native
children and their families.
Summer Enrichment Programs:
-
That our summer enrichment and
Vacation
Bible
School
programs reach over 500 children next summer.
-
For safety and success of the visiting ministry teams that will make our
summer programs possible.
-
For the Vacation
Bible
School
programs that will be held on both the Apache and Navajo reservations;
those children and their families come to know the Lord.
-
For success in reaching high school age youth during our camps.
These young adults will be especially challenging to reach.
Food Services / Kitchen:
-
For the resources to raise a new dining/kitchen facility.
To increase the number of children in our school (to 200) will
require new facilities and new equipment.
-
For our existing facilities and older equipment to sustain our
operations until new facilities and equipment are available.
-
For physical strength and empowerment through the Holy Spirit to serve
1500 nutritious meals a week. To
teach effectively that our children learn proper nutrition.
Facilities / Maintenance:
-
That we will acquire the resources and be able to erect the steel
building we’ve had for several years.
This 100 X 50 ft building will serve as both maintenance and a
student vocational education facility.
-
That each of us in the maintenance dept. gives our very best to God each
day we serve him.
-
That we be kept safe, healthy and strong to keep up with the maintenance
and repair needs of 28 buildings and 90 acres of wooded campus.
-
That we continuously provide our children and staff with a safe and
healthy environment.
The Reservations:
-
For the Navajo and Apache ministers who labor unpaid in small churches
across the reservations; that their efforts and labors for God bear
fruit.
-
For a revival on the reservations; that the evil and darkness that exist
be overcome by the power of Christ.
-
That 1st Nations people across the
United States come to know Christ as
the power and authority over their lives; that they come to know the
immeasurable joy of life through Christ.
Pray for our Staff and Board of Directors:
The following are the names and titles of those serving AICM.
Please pray for them by name as you are led by the Holy Spirit; for
their families; for success and fruitfulness in their ministry; for their
welfare, health and that their needs be met; that they remain focused on our
mission, vision and purpose to reach Native American children.
Ask God to provide the power and resources to care for each servant
of AICM, and provide a measure of security for their futures.
Pray for wisdom and discernment for our Leadership Team and our Board
of Directors.
