DO THE
PARENTS OF OUR CHILDREN HAVE ANY FINANCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR CHILD’S EDUCATION?
Yes. Knowing that our parents want
and need an investment in their child’s education, a
small tuition is charged. For our parents who cannot
afford this tuition fee, rugs, jewelry and other Native
American crafts are traded and later sold in our school
store, at no profit, to cover their tuition.
WHERE DOES MY
SPONSORSHIP MONEY GO?
The amount of tuition received
from the parents does not nearly cover the costs of
feeding, housing and educating the children on a monthly
basis. Your participation in the child sponsorship
program helps to provide the necessary food, housing,
utilities, transportation and curriculum needed for our
students
WHAT ABOUT
PERSONAL GIFTS?
We have a special “gift fund” that
provides gifts for the children throughout the year.
Contributions to this fund also go to pay for parties
and special field trips and outings. Small gifts from
you throughout the year, such as stickers, bookmarks or
your photo are always appreciated.
WHAT ABOUT
CORRESPONDENCE?
You will hear from your student on
a regular basis throughout the school year. Because of
the high academic demands of the school, your sponsored
child may not be able to write to you more than 4 times
per school year. You will, however, receive a picture
and a general biography, along with their personal
letters. Everyone enjoys receiving mail, so please do
not hesitate to write to your sponsored child. Include
your photograph and pictures of your home and the area
you live. If you sponsor a younger child, please print
your letters so they will be easier for them to read.
WHAT MAKES
SPONSORING A CHILD AT AICM SO SPECIAL?
Besides partnering with a ministry
focused on “Evangelizing and Equipping Native Americans
For Christ, your sponsored child lives in the United
States! You are welcome to visit the mission and your
sponsored child at any time. We simply ask that you make
arrangements prior to your arrival to insure we are not
on a scheduled break. |
